First Post-- and first Idea

The laws of the blawg:

Rule #1: I will not produce any negative posts (i.e. talking about how bad my day at work was or something).

Rule #2: NO PHILOSOPHIZING!

Here I'll write my thoughts and post fun stuff, ideas, invention conceptions, my music, videos, etc. Anything of a theological nature will go onto A Doubter's Maze.

SO HERE GOES MY FIRST POST!! :)

Lately I've thought about the program called X3Watch, used to keep people from visiting inappropriate sites online (yes, I have it installed onto my computer, so in making this post I'm having to avoid using the keywords that trigger its alert mechanisms; for those of you who don't know what it is, learn about it here.

I was thinking, however-- what if I could make something stronger?

PROS: Developing a program that will shut down the computer as soon as a keyword is detected.

CONS: The only problem with this, however, is that a user may inadvertently visit a completely innocent site that just so happens to have some suggestive words on it. And then BOOM, everything unsaved he was working on has been unwittingly lost forever.

ALTERNATIVE: I could make a program that texts the accountability partner, sorta like Twitter does, when these keywords are activated. Immediate and embarrassing, and a phone call could be imminent... Or maybe 5 phone calls. All at the same time. Depends on how many accountability partners you have.

As for the first case, how will I make it so that the program avoids needlessly shutting down the computer when no foul is really being done?

So many websites have suggestive language on them-- places you'd never expect to find it, but it just jumps out at you here and there. We'll see. My cousin showed me a video earlier today of how engineers developed the differential gear... (lol I'm the least mechanically literate mechanical engineer I know-- I'm only in the engineering game because I'm good at puzzles and math.). You can watch it below. The search for how to get the two driving wheels to spin at appropriate speeds inspires me to search for a way to make your computer shut down, only when it needs to.
